I felt it coming loose on the train and didn't bother fixing it And as soon as my foot stepped out door the locket fell into the gap onto the train tracks I watched it speed away and hoped the locket was ok The locket he gave me Still safe and untouched on the filthy tracks I had no other choice really but to climb in and get it It's not like anyone was looking at the little black girl going after her locket on the rails I had no other choice really It only took a few seconds, why would anyone stare Isn't that what they'd do in my position Fastened it on
